1. Introduction
Elbo Software LLC ("we," "us," "our") operates MurderBoards at murderboards.ai. MurderBoards is an AI-powered expert panel review platform where users submit content and receive structured feedback from AI-generated expert personas through multi-round debates.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and retain your information when you use our service. By using MurderBoards, you agree to the practices described here. This policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service.
2. Information We Collect
Account Data
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture. If you use email/password authentication, your password is hashed and never stored in plaintext.
Content Data
We store the content you submit for review, including:
- Text, files, URLs, and images you upload
- Discussion context and descriptions you provide
- AI-generated debate content (expert panels, opinions, clashes, synthesis)
- Debate metadata (titles, timestamps, status)
Billing Data
When you subscribe to a paid plan, we store your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, plan details, credit balance, and transaction history. We do not store your payment card details — those are handled directly by Stripe.
Usage Data
We collect standard server log data including your IP address, browser type, and timestamps of requests. We also record which model tier you select for debates and when debates are created or completed.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and operate the MurderBoards service
- Process your content through AI models to generate expert reviews
- Manage your account and subscription
- Process payments and track credit usage
- Send transactional emails about your account
- Maintain service security and prevent abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
4. AI Processing & Expert Simulation
Expert personas are AI-generated simulations. They are not real people and do not represent the actual opinions of any individual. Personality profiles are created using publicly available information about public figures for purposes of commentary and creative expression. We do not contact, consult, or interact with the real individuals whose names may appear in expert panels.
Your submitted content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. We do not use your content to train AI models. Content is only processed to generate the reviews you request. Anthropic processes this data under their own data handling policies.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following providers to operate MurderBoards. Each processes data under their own privacy policies.

6. Data Sharing
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share data for advertising purposes.
- Data is shared only with the service providers listed above, as necessary to operate the service.
- We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Elbo Software LLC, our users, or others.
7. Data Retention
Account and debate data is retained for the duration of your account and thereafter as reasonably necessary for legal and operational purposes. Credit transaction history is maintained as an append-only ledger for auditing purposes. Uploaded files are retained in cloud storage.

8. Data Security
We protect your data through the following measures:
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext
- Row-level security ensures you can only access your own data
- File access uses time-limited presigned URLs (5-minute expiry)
- Authentication tokens are managed by Supabase
- All connections are encrypted in transit via HTTPS
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use essential authentication cookies managed by Supabase to keep you signed in. We do not use analytics cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party advertising cookies. Your browser settings can manage cookies, but disabling them may affect your ability to sign in.
10. Children's Privacy
MurderBoards is not directed to users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete it.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your information.
Data Deletion Requests
To request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at support@elbosoftware.com. We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days. Certain data may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention or audit records).
California Residents (CCPA)
We do not sell personal information. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may contact us at support@elbosoftware.com to exercise their rights under the CCPA.
European Economic Area Residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA, our legal basis for processing your data is contract performance (providing the service you signed up for) and legitimate interest (operating and improving our service). You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (right to erasure)
- Request restriction of processing
- Data portability
- Object to processing
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

12. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. By using MurderBoards, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States and other jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of MurderBoards after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
